The purpose of the ETE Mentorship Program is to empower ETE entrepreneurs with guidance, support, and resources to help them develop their skills, achieve their business objectives, and build confidence in their abilities.
The program is a structured yet flexible model and practices a progress-based approach, not a time-based approach.
Our Mentorship Program offers:
- ETE Microloans
- ETE Networking Events
- ETE Counselling Sessions (*)
- Access to meeting with Community Integration Specialist from the Ministry of Social Development & Poverty Reduction (*)

1-on-1 Mentorship with a Mentor in Residence
This program pairs them with experienced mentors who provide tailored guidance on business development, goal-setting, pricing strategies, customer engagement, and long-term growth planning. The mentorship typically spans at least six months, allowing for meaningful progress and accountability.
Am I Eligible?
1-on-1 mentorship is eligible for ETE entrepreneurs who have already made their first sale and are actively working toward financial sustainability. To access this service, there will be an application process with the Mentorship Coordinator.
Brainstorming Sessions with a Mentor in Residence
This mentorship supports Entrepreneurs who are still developing their business ideas, working toward their first sales. These group sessions provide a collaborative space where participants can gain business insights, build confidence, and strengthen their entrepreneurial mindset.
Am I Eligible?
Brainstorming Sessions with a Mentor in Residence is eligible for those who’ve completed all of the following:
- Graduated from the SMART Start Program
- Attended 4 Coffee Work Drop-In Sessions
What Mentorship Is
- Providing guidance, insights, and support based on own experiences
- Support with goal setting and progress tracking
- Empowering you with tools, strategies, and knowledge to grow your business
- Offer constructive feedback and encouragement
What Mentorship Is Not
- Doing the work for the entrepreneur
- Making decisions on behalf of the entrepreneur
- Running or managing the business for the entrepreneur
- Making sales for the entrepreneur
- Providing unlimited of 24/7 support
- Guarantee Business Success
Act as a financial sponsor, investor, or fundraiser - Act as personal counselor or therapist
- Provide legal, financial, or medical advice

Can I have access to 1-on-1 mentorship and Brainstorm Session at the same time?
No, you will only get access to one of the options.
If I’m an ETE entrepreneur and haven’t made a sale, can I apply to receive 1-on-1 mentorship?
No, one-on-one mentorship is only available for ETE entrepreneurs who have already made their first sale.
How will you check if I have made a sale?
This will be based on a trust-based system with your honesty in reporting your business progress.
How long is the 1-on-1 mentorship?
The 1-on-1 mentorship typically spans for 6-7 months. During this time, we will have business touch points after the 3 and 6 month mark.
What do we do during the Brainstorm Group Sessions with a mentor?
Brainstorm Group Sessions is for entrepreneurs to bring their business challenges and work on a solution with a mentor and their peers. This session is a relaxed, open learning environment, not a structured class.
How do I join the Brainstorm Group Session with a Mentor?
After you complete the SMART Start Program, our Mentorship Coordinator will reach out to you in regards to next steps in joining the Brainstorm Group Session.

Vea Coronado
Vea has over 12 years of experience in leading and consulting for non-profits and social enterprises. She launched Crown and Calling in 2019, as her work began to evolve from traditional business consulting towards one-on-one accompaniment and relational support for impact leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals. When she's not working, you'll find her reading at a cafe, watching local concerts, or sewing and making crafts at home.
