What is the Cardboard Project?

The Cardboard Project is our annual fundraiser celebrating the immense talent of the DTES community. Every year, our guests gather to hear the wisdom and stories from the Employ to Empower entrepreneurial community, while taking time to reflect on the art installation of community stories. Our art installation evolves from a collection of community responses written on cardboard to a themed question that highlights the innate human attributes we all share. The messages on the cardboard pieces reflect responses to this year’s question:

What is something that brings you a sense of belonging?

We are expecting a sold-out event with 160 guests including members of the business community, our sponsors, and supporters.

When: Thursday, September 21st, 2023 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Where: Simon Fraser University at Harbour Center | Joseph & Rosalie Segal Centre (515 West Hastings Street room #1400-#1430, Vancouver, British Columbia V6B 5K3)
