Employ to Empower (ETE) supports residents in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES) community by providing access to development and entrepreneurial resources. Our resources include affordable microloans and business mentorship, with the goal of having a long-term impact on our members’ personal and economic well being. We also actively advocate for creating positive social change in the DTES.

Position Description

Title Description: Fundraising Manager
Reporting To: Christina Wong, Executive Director
Location: Virtual and in person
Desired Start Date: Mar 1, 2022
Commitment: 12 months with the possibility of extending the term
Position Type: Part-time contractor 10 hours per week @ $25/hr

Position Summary

The Fundraising specialist will focus on four core strategic elements that will contribute to Employ to Empower’s sustainability: Curate a fundraising strategy alongside the Executive Director, devise a donor stewardship and retention plan, secure monetary and in-kind donations organization-wide, and write grants.

* Detail oriented and articulate
* 5+ years in fundraising experience
* Adopt both a high level and operational mindset
* Strong multi-tasking skills in juggling multiple grant/campaign deadlines
