Business Skills Training Program

The Business Skills Training (BST) Program consists of eight 2-hour classes that empower people living with low-income and facing systemic barriers, who have a business idea, and provides them with business resources and tools. Through real-world examples and expert facilitation, they develop business plans in small, supportive classes of 5-8 participants.This program is offered three times a year (Spring, Summer & Fall).

Mentorship Program

Upon acceptance, the Mentorship Program is to empower entrepreneurs with guidance, support, and resources to help them develop their skills, achieve their business objectives, and build confidence in their abilities.

6 Weeks

SMARTStart Program

The SMARTStart Program is a multi-week, hands-on, practical program that supports entrepreneurs in their journey of going from big business vision to their MVP (minimum viable product), creating systems and processes for their business, and getting launch-ready.The ultimate goal of the program is to work towards their first or next early sales.

This program is offered two times a year.

Entrepreneur Engagement Activities

This pillar is designed to ensure that no entrepreneur is left behind – bringing together graduates from all cohorts into a connected, and supportive community of likeminded entrepreneurs.

Activities include month EntrePEERneur Gatherings, Educational Workshops, Coffee Work Drop-In Sessions, Community Socials, Make Change Markets and Entrepreneur Led Activities. Each opportunity aims for entrepreneurs to build relationships, strengthen their skills, and stay engaged in a community that grows alongside them.

Introduction to Entrepreneurship Workshop

This session is facilitated for community members interested in starting their own business who would benefit from guidance to get started. The intention of the session is to:

  • Support ideation and brainstorming of business ideas
  • Provide insights into five basic business considerations for getting started

It often serves as a first step for individuals who are interested in entrepreneurship but would benefit from guidance in generating and developing ideas.
